On Sunday 27th December the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign erected a memorial tree in Limerick city centre to mark the first anniversary of Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza last winter, The names of the 1415 people who were killed during the 22 day assault were printed on colour-coded cards for the public to attach to the tree - blue for men, pink for women and white cards for the over 300 children killed. A detailed list of the names, addresses, gender, ages, and occupation of those murdered was displayed on large laminated sheets for the public to study and see for themselves the fact that the overwhelming majority of the victims were innocent civilians.

They're driving around in jeeps, and the rest of the country on its knees," said Judge MacBride as he dealt with three members of the McDonagh family in Cavan District Court last Thursday. "I'm going to put a stop to it, in so far as I can make my small contribution in my district," said the judge, who spoke of the family "moving like yo-yos" and going to different employment exchanges. read full story / add a comment
