The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign has called a National Demonstration in solidarity with Gaza for this Saturday 3rd January. The protest will begin with speeches at 1pm at the Central Bank Plaza, we will then march to the Dail (Kildare Street), the EU Offices (Molesworth Street), and finish up with a rally at the Spire on O'Connell Street - which will feature a live phone-link to Gaza. From white hot anger to silent, sometimes sobbing, despairing empathy, one is torn apart over here, from being an unwilling participant in, what amounts to, a snuff movie to witnessing and hearing about Israeli barbarism, where medieval torture is visited on a helpless people with the world as voyeur and where the coup de grace is never administered, but threatened in a "bigger Shoah" than Israel's, one doesn't have an alternative but to grow stronger for Palestine. read full story / add a comment

For the third day running Palestinian and Palestine solidarity activists demonstrated in Dublin against the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza which has now left over 320 Gazans dead, and over 1,000 injured. This evening's protest was staged outside the Israeli and United States Embassies and was attended by over 300 people - many of whom have been directly affected by the tragic events in Gaza. There were loud and angry calls for Israel to cease its attacks on the Gaza strip and to lift the siege imposed two years ago. read full story / add a comment
