clare / environment / news report Saturday September 15, 2007 09:19 by Clare Shell to Sea
It's been clear for the last 2 years that the argument against the Shell Corrib Gas Project is won. And the amount of cars beeping their horns in Ennis this evening is testament to the support for Shell to Sea, genuinely. The Government continue in their refusal to debate the arguments and negotiate a settlement, and they persist in using force against the protests at Bellanaboy, a protest that has gained national and international support and recognition as ... LEGITIMATE & JUST. Greens - You have buried your heads in the Fianna Fáil mire. Yoy are complicit now. You are proving yourselves to be unreliable and unworthy of trust. The Green Party pumps for Shell. read full story / add a comment

national / rights, freedoms and repression / press release Monday September 10, 2007 14:55 by Cork Shell to Sea
Cork S2S activists and supporters will be travelling to Mayo this Friday to take part in the National Day of Protest called by the community campaign in Erris. Once again, Shell to Sea campaigners and supporters will be showing solidarity with and lending their numbers to the ongoing protest by the local community. For seven years now concerned local citizens have opposed the unsafe and unprecedented Corrib Gas project, and they have had the broad support of the community for most of this time. Excepting those few individuals whose business interests have been co-opted by Shell et al, the community’s support for the Shell to Sea campaign endures, and has even deepened. read full story / add a comment |
