German born Murat Kurnaz (23) was arrested by Pakistani police in 2002 while there on holidays. Flyer to distribute to the unaware at marches and other Oaxaca solidarity actions.
I was not able to upload typeset flyer, but below are the photos & text used if you want to use any. On the 8 x 10 flyer, the six photos [Ireland imc has only 4] from around the world are smaller than they appear here, about 1.5 x 1.5. The flyer includes a 3.5 x 5 photo of the girl confronting the PFP (Policia Federal Preventiva, Mexican Federal Riot Police), and a separate large poster was made just with her photo and the legend:

the world is watching

A US missile-launching destroyer docked at the Deepwater Quay in Cobh, Co. Cork, yesterday. This is one in a series of visits that these ships of death have paid to Cobh in recent times. As far as Anti-War Ireland is concerned, these warships are as unwelcome as the US military that pass through Shannon airport. It is a warship from a belligerent imperial power and is not welcome in Cork harbour.

The warship currently docked will remain in Cobh until Thursday. AWI is calling a picket against the presence of this weapon of war for 7pm on Tuesday evening. Please ensure that you attend and make your voice heard against the facilitation of the Bush war machine in Irish ports. read full story / add a comment

A Gay Pride demo will be held in Jerusalem, on 10 November, against a background of vicious incitement and homophobic propaganda by reactionary Jewish and Arab organisations. This follows a similar campaign running up to the June 2005 Gay Pride demo, which lead to the stabbing of three demonstrators by an ultra right-wing settler (who was sentenced to 12 years in prison). These groups are attempting to whip up hatred and intimidation in to prevent people from attending the demonstration. read full story / add a comment

Shell has sold it's forecourts to TOPAZ, but all the petrol sold is from Shell and the sign outside still proudly announces it's a Shell Station.

Protesters will gather at 6PM to show solidarity with the people of Mayo and remember Ken Saro Wiwa, the anti-Shell activist who, with eight comrades, was executed by the Shell backed Nigerian dictatorship on this date in 1995.

Shell Donnybrook is near the bus station, on the no.10 and 46A bus routes. read full story / add a comment

At times of cultural divisions reading cartoon websites and cartoon magazines from all the different part of the planet, help to better understand each other. The blasphemous cartoons brought a lot of troubles but most of the time cartoons are the most direct and easy way to communicate, understand and appreciate the humour culture and tradition of societies and regions far away from our one.
