international / eu / opinion/analysis Sunday June 19, 2005 20:08 by iosaf mac diarmada - ipsiphi
It has long been observed, that on Sunday the mass does different things. Some go to church, some return from clubs and sleep, some read a book, some do the gardening, some catch up with their kids, some eat a lot, some practise yoga, some Vote. It has long been valued that on their non-banking days people are pretty much the same as when they work, graft, toil and sweat. Except they have less money making opportunities. This facilitates their increased participation in their society as citizens and nationals of the Civilised World. It has long been observed that the mass on their non banking days readily absorb shite. This is why coups are most successful on the weekend, and elections as well. It is on your non-banking days that you are presented with the most filagree woven tissues of spirit and lie, ghost and truth. It is through weekend that we have considerable space in your head. In today's edition :- How Galicians voted & not voted. read full story / add a comment

At our recent meeting we discussed the following documents which formalise how we work. We hope that they will make it easier for new people to get involved and understand how we work. read full story / add a comment

Here are the results of votes, that is to say the % of the electorate who were registered to vote who did so, province by province. Using this list, we can quickly & promptly identify those provinces where blue flag beaches and a kicking good mass count for more than new fangled notions on the high-tech chicken baster designer kids for infertile people market. The Pope is delighted. We can now see that the real trouble makers are concentrated in the north west and Tuscany where Mr Blair goes on holidays around Bologna and Florence. The Italians will now move progressively, to banning condoms, outlawing orgasms, herding up preverted types [sic], adopting african kids, & of course attending marches organised by the Spanish rightwing. BUT of course they won't relax, it doesn't really make much of a difference. It is now not only cool to "not vote" its HOLY. @.:.%+*$/€ read full story / add a comment |
