I was watching a news article on RTE 30th May 2005 about drunken street violence in Dublin. It rekindled a question that has always been in my mind, "what about an alternative to alcohol". Galway City Councillor, Niall Ó Brolacháin, today presented Honorary Norwegian Consul, Raymond Rooney with a letter on behalf of Shell to Sea. The letter requested the Norwegian government take immediate action tostop Shell pushing through this unprecedented pipeline. Everyone in the house is getting ready to go out and vote. Polling stations in our area (Bagneux, one of the last two Communist towns left in Paris's former "red belt" suburbs) are closing at 9 or so. Nina and I (we're engaged - did I say?) are then off for a non-party with some friends.
