national / miscellaneous / news report Tuesday May 07, 2002 16:34 by Rory Curtis
Great craic had by all who attended. Sun poked its head out onto the crowd of 200-ish, who were chilling out in the park listening to Bongo. Then acompanied by guitars, saxaphone, and a wicked drummer who nearly had a heart atack on stage from playing so fast! Garda presence was small and un-offensive. They acted fair and the day went off smoothly. "It isn't a riot without riot police" so the crowed were mellow. Nothing to do with the day that was in it- international cannabis liberation day ;-) read full story / add a comment

Bank Holiday Monday: up to 1000 people partied hard on the streets of Dublin on the south side of the River Liffey along Burgh Quay and George's Quay. A plump woman with white hair and a sun-wizened face sits cross-legged in the entrance to her home. “My name is Maali Wahdan and I live here,” she says stoutly. Her figure is framed by jagged concrete. Red spray paint in the rear of the room indicates that the caved-in structure is now slated for demolition read full story / add a comment

"Babylon will be destroyed in an overwhelming judgment of fire, but it will be in the Tribulation, which may be near, but not now. This is why we see Saddam Hussein continuing to be such a problem today, and also why it defies reason, human or inhuman, as to why the job was not completed in 1991. read full story / add a comment

OK, OK. I get the message: "There's still more people out there to screw over." You didn't need to spend so much on your advertising campaign, the message is clear already. That's just my sarcastic way of asking: "how many people would a DART poster house?" read full story / add a comment
