Around the time of the visit of Shell’s pipe-laying ship the Solitaire in June it became clear that the Gardai had been told that they could do anything to remove Shell to Sea campaigners from the scene and they would be looked after. Rulings from the district court, in particular the denial of bail to 7 campaigners charged with the most minor of public order offences removed people with vital water skills from the area by interning them in Mountjoy and Castlerea prisons. Local fisherman Pat O’Donnell had one of his boat sunk from under him when four masked men boarded the boat in the middle of the night and held Pat and the other crew member at gun point while they sabotaged the boat leading to its sinking. When Pat took to sea in another boat as the Solitaire arrived he was arrested under the Public Order Act for loitering and once more sent to prison leaving the way clear for the Solitaire.
Yesterday in Castlebar circuit court, appeals involving Shell to Sea campaigners were concluded or deferred, with no further prison sentences being handed out. This follows the jailing on Wednesday of local fisherman Pat O’Donnell, who was sentenced to 7 months in jail for convictions of “breach of the peace” and of "obstructing a Garda".
On Saturday 30th January Auschwitz survivor Dr. Hajo Meyer, Dr. Haidar Eid of the Islamic University in Gaza and Sara Kershnar of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN) addressed a standing room only crowd of over 140 people in the Central Hotel in Dublin. The public meeting, entitled “The Misuse of the Holocaust for Political Purposes”, was organised by the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) as part of a high profile speaking tour hosted by IJAN and the Scottish PSC.

Anarchist Reportback From Ferguson 23:18 Sat 30 Aug 2 comments
Three Rivers Earth First! had me to go Ferguson and do a reportback. This is it. This is a community grieving. Not just over the murder of a single unarmed young man, though that was terrible enough. What I learned painting stencils with the children of that neighborhood today was this did not occur in some back alley. Where they shot him 6 times was right in the middle of a street, surrounded by multi level apartment complexes filled with children. If the shots did not get their attention the 4 hours they left the body in the middle of the street did.

The Sharia Council maintain that the Ahmadiyyas Mosque is an insult to Islam and this group have been banned from attending the Hajj in Mecca since the 1970s following a conference in Pakistan which seen Saudi Arabia bann this group from entering its most sacred territory.

Supreme Court Refuses Argentina Debt Case 22:04 Mon 16 Jun 0 comments
Supreme Court Refuses Argentina Debt Case and Validates Hedge Fund Predatory Behavior. The US Supreme Court denied Argentina's appeal for a hearing today, leaving intact a lower court ruling that validates predatory behavior targeted towards countries in financial distress. The high court also denied a related appeal on behalf of the more than 92% of bond holders who had accepted Argentina's restructuring deal. In a final blow, the court also decided that hedge funds can access information on where Argentina holds financial assets around the world. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), legitimate Wall Street investors and the US government had sided with Argentina because of the case's impact on debt restructuring, poor country access to credit and global financial stability.
Fitting tribute to fallen IRA volunteer Seamus Mclaughlin 13:50 Mon 16 Jun 0 comments
Last week on June 8th volunteer Seamus McLaughlin died in his adopted city of Dublin. Seamus was born in Ardoyne on February 22nd 1938. ", At an early age Seamus joined the ranks of the IRA and soon became OC of his local unit. England's difficulty, Ireland’s opportunity had always been the rallying cry of Irish Republicans and this young soldier of the l.R.A took Ireland's fight for freedom to the 'belly of the beast' in England, where he and his family endured many hardships including the loss of close comrades. Forced to live for decades on the run and his love for his family, community and country never wavered.
UN's Gross Deceit: ethical human rights needed. Oct 10 0 comments
Describes the UN's gross deceit e.g. human rights omissions creating the IMF which discriminates on ground of intellectual property. Also, activists' lack of understanding of political globalization which has led to the dominance of the bureaucracy. In addition, the decimation of animal populations.
Describes a Cultural Cleansing of individual self-determination. Driven by the bureaucrats in the interest of secular, liberal collectivists it required a hijacking of human rights hidden by a 'divide and rule'.
