Howdy, my name is Frank Cordarro and I'm visiting Dublin to support the Pit Stop Ploughshares awating a retrial for their plowshares/disarmament action at Shannon Airport. The action was in Feb. 2003, their retrial is at Dublin's Four Courts Oct. 24th. 2005. I've just been released from county jail in Iowa for civil disobedience against the war on Iraq. I live in a CW community in Des Moines with homeless folks. Most of my nonviolent resistance which has lead to years in jail has been at Stracom/Omaha. Below is 1)a history of Stratcom & 2) nonviolent resistance to it. While in Dublin I'm hoping to meet with peace activists. Last Summer, on the 16th June 2004 was was the 100th anniversary of Ulysses, James joyces more revered work. As official celebration kicked off on O Connell st, activists working within the Dublin grassroots network took part in a some political street theatre of their own.
