In Shannon District Court today, a resident of Shannon who took part in the June 21st.roundabout blockade, has been ordered by Judge Mangan to absent himself from the Shannon district court area any time there is a peace/anti-war demonstration in Shannon. He is to receive 24 hour written notice from the gardai in Shannon of any such event! He was also fined 200 euro.
The defending solicitor remonstrated with the judge over the constitutionality of such an order but to no avail.
