Show me a socialist country that can match that. Job cuts such as those at Shannon are not because of falling passenger numbers - but to improve productivity and efficiency. The net result will be an increase in jobs elsewhere in the Shannon areas as Shannon attracts more flights. Indeed, Ryanair have allready announced they are setting up a base there. Instead of whining, I'd advise you to build a hotel in the Shannon area, as there will now be a flood of tourists there in the next couple of years. Sometimes I get the distinct impression that people on this site don't understand how capitalism works. But, it does you know, better than any other system ever tried.shannonhttp://www.indymedia.ie/article/68266#comment981242005-01-18T14:34:02+00:00taigJohn, how dare you defend capaitalism.
