SOmeone once said, if you're mystified about a decision, follow the money. Ask, who benefits. The answer here is, Shell and Statoil.
Call Pat Carey on 087 2574393 and ask who benefits - it's his mobile and he tends to answer it himself. Because this is outrageous.

But then, they buy journalists and editors too. When you rip off that many billions, its not a big deal to kick back a few grand here and there. Good business practise. Oils the wheels, so to speak. Tops up Pat's nest-egg from the taxpayers, along with whatever was spread from the developers dropsy.
