Free Education for Everyone (QUB) is holding a public meeting to discuss the implications of the recently published Stuart Report. When originally published, the Stuart Report recommended that university tuition fees in Northern Ireland should be retained at their current levels. However in the wake of the Browne Review, published in October 2010, Joanne Stuart has conveniently reconsidered her analysis and has proposed that to maintain educational standards in the North, tuition fees must be raised to up to £5,750 per annum. This rise in tuition fees is supposed to address the cuts to education proposed in the Draft Budget.

In response to Stuart's new findings, FEE QUB have called a public meeting to discuss the effect that this will have on students, but also on the wider impacts of cuts and how we can fight cuts and fees.

Speakers:
Claire Heaney (FEE QUB)
Angelika Nowicka (Northern Ireland Student Assembly)
Suzanne Lee (FEE UCD)

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, 22nd February 2011 at 6pm, in the Queen's Student Union (2nd Floor, Club Room 5).
Everyone welcome!
