Remembering Jawaher Abu Rahmah - Demo in Solidarity With Bil'in (IPSC)
Date: Tuesday 1st Feb 2011
Time: 1:00PM
Venue: Israeli Embassy, 122 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4
Tuesday 1st February will be one month since the tragic death of Jawaher Abu Rahmah who became the first Palestinian casualty of the occupation in 2011. 36-year-old Jawaher was attending a non-violent protest at the illegal construction of the Israeli wall in occupied Bil'in in the West Bank when she inhaled toxic tear-gas fired by the Israeli occupation forces. She later died from the gas inhalation, suffering a heart attack.
Jawaher is the sister of Bassem Abu Rahmah , also murdered by the Israeli military in April 2009, when he was shot in the chest with high-velocity tear-gas canister.
Since January 2005, the village has been organizing weekly protests against the construction of the wall deemed illegal by the International Court of Justice.
Please show you support by protesting at the Israeli Embassy (122 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4) at 1pm on Tuesday 1st February 2011.
