URMIYE, 15 Jan 2011 -- Kurdish political prisoner Mr. Husen Xizri was executed today in Urmiye prison, HRANA reported today.
Islamic Republic of Iran hanged another Kurdish political activist today.
Mr. Xizri was hanged while neither his family nor his lawyer was informed of his execution and his case did not go through a legal appropriate process.
In an interview with HRANA, Xizri’s brother said, “The fabricated charge by the pro-government’s media is similar to what the Intelligence and Security Forces has already fabricated and piled against him. And they wanted to screen him on TV confessing to what he has not done.”
H added, “No official sources have yet informed us or Husen lawyer about his execution.”
Husen Xizri was taken out of his cell and transferred to an unknown place in 5th January.
The officials told his family that they have taken him to Tehran prison.
Xizri was executed today in Urmiye prison for his alleged involvement with the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK).
