Tabloid Taoiseach turning more tricks
In response to former Taoiseach demeaning himself, an artist gets annoyed
As tribute to Berties continued ability to sell newspapers, an eight x five foot canvas of the great man was hung from a lamp on the wall of West’s jewelers on Dublin’s Grafton Street on the 29th of October. The canvas, depicting a smiling Bertie drinking a cup of tea above the words ‘Riches to Rags’, is believed to be a simultaneous comment on the former Taoiseachs stewardship of the country and his asinine decision to advertise a tabloid newspaper amid the throes of a crisis for which he bears much responsibility.
The canvas hung for the day before being removed by the city council at around 4pm.
