The Independent Workers Union promotes left unity. In order to manifest this view, it is our intention to host Cork’s first “Left Unity Table Quiz”.

The Left Unity Table Quiz will present a different perspective to your typical, bourgeois table quiz. This event promises to be an action packed night of Anarchic entertainment, complete with specialist rounds on revolutionary history, a political music round and more prizes than you can shake a stick at.

Is the left side of your brain bursting with knowledge, do you know your Mao from your Lenin? Are you a Mastermind on Trotsky, if so, then why not get your organisation to put a team together and test your wits against the rest of Cork’s Vibrant left-wing community. But please be careful not to provoke the wrath of our stalinistic Quizmaster! Admission is €5 per person with a maximum of 4 people per team.

The money raised in this table quiz will go towards next year’s May Day parade, where all shades of the left-wing, progressive movement come together to celebrate International Workers’Day. The Left wing in Cork is known for having an ethos of close co-operation and we would like to see the continuity of this practice.

We encourage the radical left in Cork to support this event.
