Solidarity Stall for Pat O'Donnell at Daunt Square, Cork![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Chief's 100th day in jail is remembered by Cork Shell to Sea This afternoon at Daunt Sq., at the junction of Cork's busiest shopping streets, Cork Shell to Sea held a stall to remind the city and its people that Pat 'the Chief' O'Donnell has just spent his 100th day behind Shell's bars at Castlerea Prison. At 4 o'clock, a dozen or more Cork Shell to Sea members and supporters met at Daunt Sq. and began to set up an information stall. Once that was done, volunteers held up the banner photographed, and others then began to distribute flyers outlining Pat's plight and his reasons for opposing Shell's plans for his community. People also manned a table where a selection of flyers giving information on the Great Oil & Gas Robbery, the struggle against the Corrib Gas project in Erris, and also flyers on Niall Harnett who was also jailed 31 days ago for being part of the resistance to Shell. |
