Community Tree Planting Finally Returns to Galway! For the first time since 2006, a mass 'Plantathon' will take place in Galway city!
From 12 to 4pm on Sunday March 28th, the people of Galway are asked to take part in a double event in the Terryland Forest Park organised under the auspices of Galway City Council.
The much-awaited 'Plantathon' - the planting of native Irish trees (which support high levels of biodiversity) by the citizens of Galway- will be complimented by the regular monthly cleaning of our green spaces ('Glan Suas Gaillimh').
Rendezvous Point: Terryland Castle
This is an opportunity that should be supported by people of all ages and represents the culmination of all those thousands of people who campaigned over the last decade for the protection of our increasingly threatened wildlife habitats
