Anji O'Donnell read from her work, her first collection of poems, to an assembly of friends and other writers at Canavan House, Nuns Island, this afternoon, for the launch of her first collection of poems. Among the audience was writer and activist, Margaretta D'Arcy and Marvelle Maguire, the Centre's Administrator. Fred Johnston, Director of the Centre, praised the openness and honesty of the poems in the collection and said that we might all learn from reflecting upon them. The book is on sale at Canavan House, price €5.
