Euro Candidate For Sinn Féin Kathleen Funchion, Visits Newbridge
Sinn Féin European Election candidate, Kathleen Funchion paid a visit to Newbridge , Co. Kildare today. She was accompanied on her visit to the town by local election hopeful for Sinn Féin, Sean Downey, the two were given a warm welcome on the sunny streets of Newbridge today by the people of the town. The day included a visit to the newly opened ‘Liffey Studios’, the new home of Crooked House Theatre Company & Kildare Youth Theatre, following their forced relocation from the local arts centre. Their new home is a great example of what can be done by a group of determined individuals who come together and very work hard with all fixtures, fittings and labour being donated by people from the area.
This visit is part of what has been a long hard campaign by local Sinn Féin activists which has seen this previously barren constituency becoming a very possible seat victory for Sinn Féin if some reports in the local media, but like all elections only time will tell if they are correct.
