The names accompanied by Al Jazeera footage from the last few weeks in Gaza will also be projected onto a number of symbolic locations in Dublin after dark on Monday. For details of this please call 087 – 7409102 on Monday after 3pm. This action is intended as a reply to the ‘War Is Peace’ style ‘PR Attack’ visit by an Israeli Minister to Ireland.

We, the undersigned, are united in seeking the immediate expulsion of
the Israeli ambassador to Ireland, Dr Zion Evrony. We believe the

Happy war, christmas is over

I wrote thisong last night and recorded it today with the help of the youngest drummer in Ireland, Liamo age 12. He' drumming for peace he said. Thanks Liamo
Anyway. With all the hypocracy from our politicians...Barry Andrews, Michael Martin, and Wioot O'Dea all condemning Israel invading Palestine they should be called out for their forked tongue in cheek commentry. They may say they condemn the killing of innocent people but leave our Shanon airport open to The US to supply all the hardware they need to do the killing that they say they condenm....one dispairs.....

Hope it works out and people turn out to support this action, can't make it but would love to see photo's here after.

In a format that can be screened elsewhere. It would be good to see this screened soon in Cork, Galway etc. More signatures for the letter still being sought. This is an ongoing initiative and anyone can help a bit with it by raising awareness in whatever way.

Israels Immigrant Absorption Ministry is setting up a new network of propaganda bloggers who speak foreign languages. Volunteers who send the Absorption Ministry their contact details by e-mail, at media@moia.gov.il, will be registered according to language, and then passed on to the Foreign Ministry's media department, whose personnel will direct the volunteers to Web sites deemed "problematic."

P.S. Is the footage you are showing available on download anywhere?

author by ecpublication date Tue Jan 20, 2009 13:27author address author phone

The footage is available on the al jazeera english language website - they released a lot of their footage of events in Gaza under a creative commons license

Here is a small but very important piece of PR

Watch CH4 on Thursday night the 22/1/09 at 11.05 unseen footage of the collective punishment of the Palestinians in Gaza, the Zionists have been rumbled, now let the civilised world know about it.

It's too early to offer a comprehensive analysis of how and where either geographically or cyber-globally the Israeli propaganda machine has succeeded in pushing its spin. But there are obviously some places worth noting where the efforts have not paid off & naturally those appeals for volunteers to blog or comment on behalf of the Israel state as reported in Haaretz and mentioned on this site were well noted for their emergent network value.

anyway -

The European call back two weeks ago to protest the slaughter in Gaza saw about 20,000 people mobilised to march in Barcelona, amongst whom were counted the current minister of the interior and leader of the eco-communist party ICV, Joan Saura. Immediately after his participation Shutz and right-wing interests rounded on his presence as minister with responsibility for policing such gigs and @ least a bit of a peek at anti-jihadist investigations and stuff in what they termed a "pro-Palestinian" if not "pro-Hamas" march. They also connected his presence there with his abscence at a recent Holocaust memorial event - perhaps he inadvertently had made the sloppy mistake of providing ammunition to those who can afford it.

However, the regional Catalan government tripartite coalition are old hands at handling such complaints and have surely noticed the boom in PLO scarfs. It stayed pretty local politics. We may pause to consider how whoever makes PLO scarves these days has decided to make them multi-coloured before distributing them throughout Europe to be sold or hawked by illegal migrants working if at best - "on a paltry minimum wage".

But for once it wasn't in either Catalonia the seat of the Mediterrranean Union or Madrid's ZP image conscious support for the Egyptian ceasefire proposals with juxtapoised double visits by the Spanish Foreign minister and Spanish Defence minister to Jordan & Lebanon.

Nope.

instead it was the two city enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla which Spain holds on the African continent's Morrocan coast just opposite Gibraltar ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceuta http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melilla ) who got to present an extraordinarily united front (all political parties left to right and all muslim collectives) in condemning the Israeli attack on Gaza.

Quite simply coz ambassador Shutz when speaking to the "New Economy Forum" said that Spain has two fences in Ceuta and Melilla to protect itself from migration and Israel built its wall to protect its citizens" http://www.elpais.com/articulo/internacional/reglas/han...8/Tes he was up to the usual scurrulous Israeli propaganda forked tongue mischief.

Ceuta and Melilla are legally sovreign territory belonging to the Spanish state with majority muslim populations who constitutionally administer their affairs as autonomous regions of a comparatively democratic state their fences are part funded by the European Union and jointly policed by both Spanish state and the Morrocan state dsepite its irrendentist claims to both cities.

Sure God, only one of them Ceuta / Melilla citizens ever got sent to Guantanamo but he came out the other end 3 years later.

don't forget to tell your kids what Gitmo was....... shush you wee langer one more stroppiness out of you and you're off to Gitmo!

So even if we indulge the people of Ceuta & Melilla and forget articles such as "How high can you jump for the beautiful life?" http://www.indymedia.ie/article/71750 & "Really!!!! how high can you jump for the beautiful life" http://www.indymedia.ie/article/72231 which explained how the EU's migrant barbed wire is in fact the longest toughest nastiest unseen thing which has never got graffiti.....

Their united declaration is completely true as it can be read by people who'd bother to check the source link below.

Israel had not legal right under international law to build its wall.
Israel ought to be held responsible under international law for its crimes
