Remember the Children - Gaza Vigil at the Spire

On the evening of Thursday 15th January 2009, about 100 people gathered at the Spire on O'Connell Street to remember the children of Gaza who have been killed and maimed in Israel's brutal offensive.

The event was organised by the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and hundreds of pairs of children's shoes were placed on the ground to highlight the suffering of Gaza's children, who make up some 55% of the tiny coastal strip's population.
