Carol Cadwalladr's latest 'analysis' of what she calls the 'broligarchy' is a feverish mishmash of Trump Derangement Syndrome, cod feminism and Delingpole-esque levels of conspiracy theory gobbledegook, says James Alexander

Smoggie Queens shows how far BBC comedy has fallen, says Steven Tucker. Let's be honest, there's only one reason the corporation made this awful TV programme, and it's certainly not because it's funny.

Gardaí asked to probe film of Nigerians on Nazi site
January 4, 2009

Gardaí have been asked to investigate the circumstances in which a video of a Nigerian family living in Dublin was posted on a racist website last week. The film was uploaded to the website of Nazi group Stormfront on Tuesday tagged as a "video of Nigerians in new houses in Dublin with three cars".

Lasting 90 seconds, the footage shows one man and three women outside their home wearing traditional Nigerian dress. The camera then pans to show young black children playing on the street and the registration of the family's cars.

However, the most chilling aspect of the film is that the footage appears to be shot from the upstairs room of a neighbour's home across the street.

Rosanna Flynn of Residents Against Racism told the Sunday Tribune, "This is the first time, to my knowledge, that Irish people have secretly filmed their neighbours and then posted it on the net. It must be very frightening for the family involved to know that their every movement is being watched and that their children are being targeted too.

Have words been had with the video maker?
