THURSDAY NIGHT TALK

Indigenous activists representing The Conselho Indigena de Roraima (CIR), Confederação das Organizações Indigenas da Amazônia Brasileira (COIAB), the Federação das Organizações Indígenas do Rio Negro (FOIRN) and
Associação dos Povos Indígenas do Oiapoque (Apio), will talk about issues affecting their region, such as land conflicts, sustainable development, food sovereignty, education, sustainable resource management, recycling and will give and overview of what’s the life like in the Amazon.

This will be an opportunity to talk to Indigenous peoples first hand and to have an insight of the inhabitants of the “Lungs of the World”.
