Smoggie Queens shows how far BBC comedy has fallen, says Steven Tucker. Let's be honest, there's only one reason the corporation made this awful TV programme, and it's certainly not because it's funny.

This week saw the anniversary of the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight others by the Shell-backed Nigerian dictatorship in 1995, and business people from Mayo might be better served by inviting someone from the Niger Delta to tell them what sort of company Shell is, and exactly who they have as a neighbour.

The Four Seasons is near the RDS, take the no.7 bus from town. See link for map.

Did Nolan work for Shell in Egypt?

The answer to your question I believe to be yes.

Shell has a long history in Egypt like Nigeria and it dates from 1886.

Had to leave Egypt when nationalisation took place in the earlty1960s.

Only returned in the 1970s and from then on has had to work in partnerships only.

Ireland remains unique in 0 - 100 in favour of oil companies: look at many countries in Africa like

Egypt. Chad borrowed so that it could enter partnership.
