This lecture will be about the Islamic concept of revivalism and revivalists from the 18th century, 19th century and 20th century the history of Islamic revivalism after the fall of the Caliphate with particular focus on Egypt, Turkey, middle east and the Sub-Indian continent. Individuals discussed in the lecture include Ibn Taymiyah, Abu Hamid Al Ghazzali, Mohammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab, Shah Waliullah Dahlawi, Mohammad Rida, Said Nursi, Hassan Al Banna, Abu'l Ala Mawdudi etc.
