About the Speakers

Hedy Epstein is a Holocaust survivor who has been a longtime social justice activist. She has visited Palestine many times, with both the International Solidarity Movement and most recently as one of the passengers on the Free Gaza siege-breaking boats. On her last trip through Tel Aviv airport, this 83 year old woman was internally searched by Israeli 'security'. For more about Hedy see her website - http://www.hedyepstein.com/

Mohammad Alatar is an acclaimed Palestinian film director who's films included 'The Iron Wall' (2006) and most recently 'Jerusalem: East Side Story'. For more about Mohammad see his website - http://www.eastsidestory.ps/

Jack O'Connor is the General President of the SIPTU trade union, and an Executive Member of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU). He also sits on the Executive Committee of the Labour Party.

Marie Crawley is Chair of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign and will chair the meeting.

This event is co-hosted by the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign and ICTU Trade Union Friends of Palestine.
