The venue for an all day celebration of the tara valley is Tailor's Hall, Back Lane , Dublin 8.
The organisers, which include the tara Valley Groups have booked the Tailor's Hall
for a family day with information stalls, AV and Powerpoint information and talks,
and a childrens area which will include food, face-painting and bi-lingual talks on
myth and legend. There will also be a treasure hunt for the kids, but adults may help out
a little bit.
The day begins at 12.00pm and extends into early evening with the use of the whole hall for
people to familiarise themselves with the ongoing campaigns and the future planning
for the tara Gabhra Valley. The focus will be on Ecology and Environment, with presentations
from the Meath-Master Plan people, the Direct Action campaigns and the Heritage Park
awareness people.
From 7pm-12.30 am, there will be an evening of Trad, open mic and a DJ, for the grown ups.
(this will include story-tellers and Poetry)
There is a small fee of five euros for the day 12-6pm
(this includes all kids and is a family pass)
Hold onto that ticket cos it will allow concession for the Seisiun in the evening which
is 10 euros. There are always concession facilites and the small fee is to cover the hall
cost.
