The proceedings began with chanting of slogans by the crowd and statements from the Federation were read out. It concentrated on the problems challenges facing Iraqi workers. How the Iraqi Government prohibited the establishment of unions in plants and factories. It also referred to the Government plan to establish phony unions to deprive Iraqi workers of their basic rights.
