Dear Dubliners,
Amnesty International Irish Section invites you to write a letter for a human rights cause close to your heart.
Our Annual Letter-Writing drive will take place in the Mansion House this Saturday from 10am to 4pm. A
mnesty activists will be out in force encouraging Dubliners to sign letters of support for human rights activists in China, Zimbabwe, Mexico and a number of other countries.
Each year hundreds of people take part. It might seem like a very small thing, signing a letter in Dublin city centre, but it is an essential part of keeping up the pressure for improvements in human rights and delivering real change in people’s lives.
This year we will be highlighting the plight of the victims of gender based violence in Mexico and prisoners of conscience in Israel, as well as supporting our Human Rights For China postcard campaign.
We’re asking you to drop by the Mansion House on Saturday and to give a few moments of your time to help people around the world who are facing oppression and imprisonment.
