Scéalaíocht nach raibh a leithéid riamh ann!
To kick off St. Paddy’s festival, the storytelling club that “knows no boundaries and succumbs to few taboos” is pleased to offer a night of Irish storytelling with a difference.
Library Bar Extension, Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin 2.
Thursday 13 March. Doors 7.30. Show starts 8pm sharp.
€5, concessions €2.
The embittered Queen Gormlad incites the Viking warrior Broder to do battle against her ex-husband, and he suffers a rain of boiling blood to woo her. An Irish story sourced from the Icelandic Njal's saga.
Elsewhere, in a quest to avenge his father’s murder, the young Irish warrior Mael Dún embarks on an accursed sea voyage among islands populated by fiery swine, seductive princesses and hermits dressed only in their own long white hair.
This is Irish storytelling, but not as we know it. This is eye-contact theatre for the noughties.
Booking is recommended, as the show is likely to be sold out in advance. Text names to 086 060 3818.
