On 9th December a march was held in Kuala Lumpur by a group of lawyers to mark International Human Rights day. The protest called for a right to freedom of assembly but, ironically, the police not only stopped the march but arrested the lawyers and other individuals, including our friend Noor Aza Othman.
Noor Aza Othman lived in Rathfarnham in Dublin for five years and
attended a Development Studies course in Kimmage Manor. She did
volunteer work with the Migrant Right Centre and involved herself with the anti-war movement.
If you free at 1pm on Monday, 28th January 2008, please come to our peaceful protest to highlight the abuse of human rights in Malaysai.
the protst will be held outside the Malaysain Embassy, Shelbourne House Shelbourne Road, Ballsbride, Dublin 4.
If you can't make it - please e-mail your concern to the malaysian Embassy mwdublin@mwdublin.ie. or ring me/email me and I can forward the letter that I have written so that all you have to do is sign it and forward it on. thanks.
See you at the protest
