Is that a gun in your pocket?- asks Defence Minister

A video posted on youtube by members of the Irish Defence Forces- self-styled "Oglaigh na hEireann" - has been removed from by government order.

It is believed by some that Willie O'Dea was informed that the video, combined with the clear indication of his mustache, may lead some to believe that the whole 26 county defence forces idea was "a bit gay".

In the interest of free speech, the video should be seen, but people of a nervous disposition should be warned, it contains graphic scenes of disco dancing, men in showers, toilets and weight-lifting.

While the content of the video and conduct of those involved is silly, it is a matter of concern that Youtube capitulated to the government's demands. It's not like youtube are Irish based or anything like that.

Yesterday two Irish soldiers on peacekeeping duty were attacked by a roadside bomb.
Roadside bombing of military convoys are the too familiar tactic of Islamic insurgents in Iraq against US and UK troops.
Have Irish soldiers become fair game for Hezbollah or Al-Qaeda?
If Irish troops are seen as occupiers in a Muslim land do Irish civilians also face attack in the same way that British people were attacked on 7/7 because of UK military activity in Iraq?
The world has suddenly become a lot more dangerous for "neutral" Ireland.

Its not exactly 'one night in Paris' is it?-

Maybe the good puritans at government house objected to the image of the guy on the excerise bike
with the fag swinging out of his face?

Or the guy shaving his pits?

Just picked myself up off the floor after cracking up laughing., this is the most entertaining stuff I'v seen on Indy....If Willy o deedle dee dosent see the value in using this as a recruitment promo he is as stupid as I originally thought. He could invest some of the money he made from his profits on invading Iraq to get the vid off the ground, he could rope in his fellow war criminal Bertie to use his contacts to get hold of Louie Walshe to seal the deal. All louie has to say is..'I think were looking at the next Village people'... and our Army is famous....self funding. They could go round the world entertaining civilians instead of eliminating, what a concept.
