Indeed, it is hearbreaking to see our land and archaeological heritage so needlessly destroyed by the government and their financial backers. A big thank you to all of you who are trying to stop this utter insanity. You are doing a fine job by bringing this outrage to everybody's attention.
But there is one problem we have with the campaign, and we would like to address this issue. As already stated, we live locally and used to drop in to the Vigil on the Hill and those other campers on Rath Lugh quite frequently during the Summer. But then we noticed that campaigners removed beech saplings from Rath Lugh for fire wood. We simply can't understand, and it's even harder to explain to our two kids, why environmentalists are chopping down trees when there is so much dead wood for the fire on the ground? We are happy that people are campaigning on the ground, but please do not cut those beautiful trees.

These images are heartbreaking.
