Shannon Peace Camp - the 5th. Anniversary

Once again the Peace Camp is to be established in the new Year.

The war has not gone away and those who oppose it have stood fast. Let us come together once more, to both celebrate and rage.

Even now, our friends who sacrifice much by sustaining their vigil are still oppressed by those who take pride in our complicity in genocide. http://www.indymedia.ie/article/85297 [To point to but a single instance.]

The members of Cosantoiri Siochana call on all groups and individuals, and on any who feel the need to join our vigil, to join us once again at the camp outside the War Port [Also known as Shannon Airport] on the 6th to the 7th of January 2008.

The Burning Bush has not long to go before he is replaced and Iran, if it is to be attacked, will be attacked soon. Will Shannon soon fill with cheap cannon fodder bound for Iran?

If so, this might very well be the last time we assemble before this happens.

Is there any organised transport to Shannon from Dublin? Where exactly is the vigil?

Bus Éireann will take you to Limerick Station. From there you can take a bus to the airport. Ask the bus driver to let you off at the last stop before you enter the airport. You'll be able to see the camp across the road from this stop.

See you there.

Who's organising the event and what's going to be happening?
