North Beach Poetry Nights in association with Poetry Ireland

John McNamee, Director of the long established "Out to Lunch" poetry reading series in the Irish Writers' Centre in Dublin and veteran of many poetry events and publications takes time out to give one of his memorable performances. John's first volume of poetry Flight was published in 1977. Since then he has had up to 10 publications, as well as many appearances on television and radio. He has read in Toronto, California, Las Vegas, New Orleans, New Jersey, New York and at many venues here in Ireland.

The North Beach Poetry Nights' 2 - Round Slam

Poets wishing to enter the Slam are requested to bring along 2 poems, max. 3 minutes each.

The winner of the Slam receives a bottle of red wine courtesy of North Beach and automatically goes forward to the North Beach Poetry Nights' Grand Slam

in Richardsons on December 22nd.

The prize for the winner of the Grand Slam is the publication of a collection of the winner's poetry.

This is the penultimate slam evening.
