Local writers appear in anthology

Writers based in Galway, such as Aoife Casby, are included in the upcoming Windows Anthology, to be launched in Galway.

The Norman Villa Gallery at Salthill, Galway, is the venue for the launch of the Windows Anthology, at 8pm Thursday, November 8th.
Admission is free. Galway writers are included in the anthology.

"The importance of our having events in new and different venues," says the Centre's manager, Fred Johnston, "is to prevent events becoming stale by being based in the same places where, effectively, they attract the same people and become rather insular. The Norman Villa Gallery in Salthill has already staged a number of important musical as well as visual art events and was an obvious choice for a change of venue."

Details can be obtained at westernwriters@eircom.net or from the Western Writers' Centre at 091.5335594, or by calling Fred Johnston at 087.2178138
