Vigil for Gerard Lawlor shot dead by the UFF
Vigil for teenager Gerard Lawlor shot dead by the UFF as he made his way home, around the corner from the Bellevue Arms on the Antrim Rd. Gerard's friends and well wishers will be holding an all night vigil on the spot where Gerard fell after being shot several times at point blank range by his UFF killers. Many of Gerard friends knew Gavin Brett and Danny McColgan who were also shot dead this year. Protestant Gavin Brett was mistaken for a catholic as he socialised with his catholic best friends, and shot dead as he shielded his catholic friends from the UFF gungang. Postman Danny McColgan was shot dead as he arrived for work at Rathcoole by the UFF death squad.

There were 5,000 people at the vigil in Belfast.
It would be good if there was a large crowd in Dublin.
A very sad and tragic event, a brutal killing of a young man making his way home after a night out. I can't be there myself, but I too hope there is a large turnout at the vigil in Dublin.
What really makes me angry is the sight of Trimble seeking the expulsion of S.F. (not a member) in the British Parliament, but he did not say a word about the murder of a totally innocent young man.
