Alastair Campbell at the Merrion Hotel, Dublin, Monday 16th July , 5.30PM
Alastair Campbell, famously accused of "sexing up" the dossier on Saddam Hussein's weapon's of mass destruction in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, is launching his memoirs at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin tonight at 5.30PM.
There will be a champagne reception, and the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern will be the guest of honour.
Hundreds of thousands of people were killed in the invasion of Iraq, and the destruction of the Hussein regime has brought chaos to the country and destabilised the region.
No weapons of mass destrcution were ever found.
The Merrion Hotel is across the road from Government Buildings, just up from Merrion Square.
