The British state spits in Irelands face
Over 11 years after first being arrested for alleged involvement in an attack on a British army base in Germany, 35 year old Tyrone woman Roisin McAlisky again found herself in custody this morning facing German demands for her extradition
This case was dropped in 1996 following a lengthy campaign by Roisins supporters during which time Roisin who was pregnant gave birth. Now 11 years later the British state with the cooperation of the German authorities seem to want to drag up the old ghost.
There is no doubt that this arrest is politically motivated, it spits in the face of any person who believes that the nature of the British state in Ireland has really changed. Acting in coordination with the German authorities the British state has sent a message out to anybody they believe needs to hear it, 'We can and will come for you and put you away'. The timing of this arrest is sinister in the extreme.
Every progressive thinker, revolutionary or otherwise must organise to resist this blatent act of oppression.
