Urgent call to friends of Cuba

category dublin | anti-war / imperialism | event notice author Monday April 30, 2007 12:02author by Jose Marti

It has come to our attention that Caleb McCarry, appointed by George
Bush as °transition co-ordinator" for Cuba, will be speaking in Dublin
on Monday next, 30 April, at 1:30 p.m. in the National University of
Ireland, Dublin (Belfield).

This individual should be confronted head on, and the Irish
academics who invited him also need to be made aware that they are giving a platform to a person who wishes to install a puppet government in Cuba.

Join the picket on this meeting. Bring your own banner. Let your
voice be heard. Spread the word.

Room G317, Newman Building (Arts Block), National University of
Ireland, Stillorgan Road

I just came from the picket, had to leave at around two due to work. When I left, however, I met like 15 cops in the entrance of the Arts block, but I don't know if they were heading for the picket or not.

Good picket, good attendance, however very dominated by apologists for the Cuban regime.
