75 protesters blockade Shell's HQ on Adelaide Road just off Lower Leeson Street.

75 protesters are blockading Shell’s headquarters, Corrib House on Adelaide road, just off lower Leeson Street.
Beginning at 7:30 am this action is designed to bring home to Shell that it’s not just “a few locals” in Rossport who are outraged by their attempts to railroad through an experimental pipeline and a refinery which is already damaging the environment in Ballinaboy.
This project is already costing the state money with 5.4million euros invested by Fianna Fail’s government in providing the largest security operation the state has seen in order to force through a project with no benefit to the Irish State and intimidate Irish citizen’s into accepting it.
With Shell standing to make €51 billion without paying a penny of tax or investment in the Irish community Fianna Fáil are unwilling even to have Shell refine and extract this gas in a safe way.
40 Gardaí (at the last count) are attempting to break the blockade.
This blockade will continue throughout the day so show your support and help Shut Shell Down!
