Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4Sad to see all our History going down the tubes, I wish one could argue that it is down to good old-fashioned lack of insight but, unfortunately in this case, as in at least five others around the country, anyone with any savvy, can conclude that corruption and self serving is what its all about.
I wonder if any members of coillte could step forward to clarify their role in all of this?
Sorry my mistake, actually belived I was in a democracy here!
To deny a people their history and culture is to deny them their soul. I would like to congradulate Fianna Fail for acheiving, in a few short years what the English failed to do. I have to hand it to you lads. Your'e better Brits than the Brits themselves. Your'e parents must be proud!
Well done to the protesters - the idea of a regular protest at a given time at a given place is excellent and means that people can plan ahead.
On another note - the planning appeal lodged by C. McCarthy for Philpotstown was rejected by the Board.
These were the grounds:
The three grounds can be summarised as 1) ‘traffic hazard’, 2) adverse impact on the ‘archaeological, heritage and visual amenities of the area’ detracting from the ‘interpretative experience of the region’ (this is the longest paragraph of the decision and includes the question of setting a precedent), and 3) impact on the amenities of adjoining property (noise, dirt etc), contrary to ‘the proper planning and sustainable development of the area’.
This of course raises the question again as to why the road but even more crucially, the Interchange, was deemed suitable for that area!
While researching the chemical poison drops in Canadas right-of-ways during the latter part of the last century to the point of driving them out of Canada, I found that when the first Canadian divison was in Germany in 1945, it demanded that the nazis chemical warfare monopoly, I.G. Farban, should be dismantled as a pseudo science not to be allowed ever again. The American Imperialist Army overuled Canadas' First Divison and said that it was a billion dollar corportation and therefore they in concession to the Canadians, changed the name to Basf, Bayer, and Hoekest and interlocked the directives of U.S Imperialist Chemical warfare monopolies Dupont, Monsanto, and Dow, and the six corporations , not changing their deadly practice began waging a chemical warfare poisoning of the world from 1945 on. This they kept from the public, by simply making a name change from I.G. Farban but not not the practice. So Basf, Bayer and Hoekest along with Dow, Monsanto, and Dupont came out with public sounding warm fuzzy names posing as experts of agriculture, etc, of the allies and therefore good guys. In reality however , they were then and are now the chemical horror on the world that has occurred from that time to this. The GMOs are pseudo science and are designed to make the peasant-farmer working class slaves to the monopoly capitalist poison chemical industry and in no-way are they innocent companies doing good to the workers in agriculture. I wish that someone in Ireland would research the comming into being , being , and hopefully going out of being of these horrific companies. Remember that Monsanto , Dow , and Dupont, chemical poisoned sprayed five million Indo-Chinese people, and when Vietnam recently took Monsanto to the Supreme court of the U.S. A. for damages of the poisoning of Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam the court found Monsanto not guilty of anything, yet Monsanto is proven by statistics to be the leading producer and sprayer of agent orange etc. in the area. Everyone has heard of Monsanto being fined and thrown out for their polices on GMO's In India, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, Phillipines, and numerous other countries around the world where they have used monopoly right and public taxpayers money, to end the farmers and peasants rights of growing and planting their own home grown seeds. Basf is a direct derivitive of I.G. Farban and if the Irish make the mistake of allowing its phoney GMO's to take hold they will lose their freedom to choose their seeds and the right to plant what they know needs to be planted. If your country has a spark of liberation from Imperialist enslavement in it yet, do dismantle and throw it out and compensate the victims of the GMO farce.
I am ashamed to say I voted these politicians into government, who want to destroy our history. We are suppose to be a modern society, who learns from mistakes. It is the next generations that are going to miss out on this wounderful wonder of ours.
