by Ciarán Ó Brolcháin - Shell to Sea Belfast
shelltoseabelfast at gmail dot com
A candle-lit vigil was held by Shell to Sea activists outside Belfast City Hall on Thursday to remember those who have suffered internationally because of the policies of Shell Oil.
On 1st February Shell announced their profits for the year. The poor souls only made $25 billion so obivously all right-thinking people will understand that they just can't afford to move their gas refinery off the west coast of Ireland, just like they can't afford to clean up the mess they've left in their wake and the devastation it has caused for local communities throughout the world.
