To coincide with Shell's 100 anniversary celebrations and their announcement of more profits ... over people.
This Thursday 1st February, St Brigid's day, is the 100 anniversary of Shell and the day they choose to announce their annual profits.
St Brigid's Well, Liscannor, is an open air site of annual religious pilgrimage and mass will be said there at 12noon this day.
From 11am, Clare Shell to Sea will be there with a stall displaying info, banners, flyers, stickers and posters, chatting with the visitors and offering them a mathematical souvenir memento of their visit.
'How many years would you have to work to earn what Shell earn in one year?'
'Find minimal comfort in the fact that - You are not killing anybody!'
We will also join the regular Thursday night traditional music session in Murphy's bar beside the well.
We invite people to join the Clare Shell to Sea '50', a list of people who would like to visit the ongoing daily picket at Bellanaboy, at stages in the future.
And specifically, we invite people to join us in travelling to Mayo for the National day of Support on Friday 16th February at Bellanaboy.
See contact details above.
