Ógra Shinn Féin mobilise across Ireland
Ógra Shinn Féin mobilised across Ireland on Saturday 16 December demanding the release of IRA prisoners in Ireland and anti Imperialist prisoners across the world.
There were protests, solidarity collections, candlelit vigils, banners made and thousands of leaflets distributed to a very supportive public.
There was also a public meeting held in the English midlands by Socialist Labour Party highlighting the campaign.
The message went out loud and clear from the day of action - A.R.I.S.E and free the prisoners!
For the remainder of the month of December there will be further actions in solidarity with the prisoners.
The following is a photo gallery of the day of action.

Er, there didn't seem to be much support for their campaign judging by all their pictures.
Of course we haven't forgotten that the shinners refused to allow prisoners families to speak at the party political broadcast disguised as a hunger strike commemoration at Casement park.
What is the comment by 'KD' on about did you see the photos? While i dont really support ogra sf it is clear they had support. in my own local area they had up to 30 people at their protest and there was another one going on bout 20 miles away.
What do the letters A.R.I.S.E. stand for?
How can they call for the release of all IRA prisoners when the vast majority of IRA prisoners are committed to smashing the state PSF are in the process of securing? Is it just Provisional prisoners they are talking about?
A.R.I.S.E stands for Anti Racism Imperialism Sectarianism Exploitation
Is this a joke - IRA prisoners - they only PIRA ones left are who - please explain - it seems to me to be a campaign to keep certain elements within Provisional Sinn Fein - and screw any prisoners who are in for similar offences to many former PIRA prisoners- pleae enlighten me - cause you are very happy to claim INLA volunteers as your own when it suits - DO you mean all IRA prisoners regardless of affiliation or is it only those who support British strutures including partition
