Vigil Light is Focus of Opposition

Despite repeated attempts by the Office of Public Works (OPW) to move them on the tara Solidarity Vigil remain camped out on the Hill of tara. They have become a focus of opposition to plans to build a new motorway (M3) through the tara valley. As opposition grows they have received increasing messages of support not just from Ireland but around the world also. Norwegians, in particular, have taken a keen interest in developments on the Hill due to a sense of shared history they have with Ireland.
