category galway | anti-war / imperialism | event notice author Monday September 18, 2006 09:36author by Solidarity

Galway Alliance Against War is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, 19th September, at which a member of the Raytheon Nine will speak.

Venue: Galway City Library, Augustine Street.

Time: 7.30pm, Tuesday, 19 September

All welcome!

The Raytheon 9 face serious charges in Derry and are presently being denied a jury trial for the nonviolent decommissioning of Raytheon components. Raytheon, the third largest arms company in the world, was invited to Derry as part of the "peace process". Go figure? At the time of the action, Raytheon was profiting from the indiscriminate Isreale bombing of Lebanon.

A US arms giant, which had it's Ulster base trashed in a anti-war protest, has put a positive spin on the company's image through a huge advertising campaign.

Costing tens of thousands of pounds, Raytheon has placed full page ads in several quality British newspapers. Anybody got a copy?

So whatever situation you're facing, you'll have Raytheon n your side.

Which actually means

Who ever loses Raytheon wins.
