Fógraíonn Conradh Na Gaeilge Cainteoirí na Comhdhála Oideachais Ar An 12 Meán Fómhair

category dublin | miscellaneous | event notice author Wednesday August 30, 2006 10:49author by Ard-Rúnaí - Conradh na Gaeilgeauthor email comhdhail at cnag dot ie Report this post to the editors

I measc na gcainteoirí a bheidh ag labhairt ag Comhdháil Oideachais atá á heagrú ag an Conradh i gColáiste na Tríonóide ar an Máirt, 12 Meán Fómhair 2006, le teacht ar mholtaí chun múineadh agus foghlaim na Gaeilge sa chóras oideachais a fhorbairt, beidh An tOllamh David Little, Stiúrthóir Ionad an Léinn Teanga agus Cumarsáide agus Ollamh Comhlach le Teangeolaíocht Fheidhmeach i gColáiste na Tríonóide, ag cur síos ar an ngéarghá le Curaclam Comhtháite Teangacha sa chomhthéacs ilteangach agus Eorpach.

Beidh Caoimhe Máirtín, Iarcheann Choláiste Mhuire Marino, ag leagan amach plean go dtabharfadh gach ábhar oide bunscoile tréimhse bliana acadúla dá c(h)úrsa traenála ar thumoideachas ag foghlaim faoin tumoideachas agus tríd an tumoideachas. Cinnteoidh sé seo cumas sásúil sa Ghaeilge do gach múinteoir bunscoile as seo amach. Beidh sí ag moladh, chomh maith, go mbeidh deis ag ábhair oidí a gcúrsa oiliúna iomlán a dhéanamh trí Ghaeilge más mian leo. Beidh Máire Ní Bhaoill, Coláiste Phádraig i nDroim Conrach, agus Colm Hamrogue, Uachtarán Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn ann mar phainéal ag Caoimhe.

Beidh an Dr. John Harris, Léachtóir Sinsearach le Sícitheangeolaíocht i gColáiste na Tríonóide ag cur síos ar an taighde a rinne sé le déanaí dár teidil ‘An Ghaeilge sna Bunscoileanna: Treochtaí Náisiúnta Fadtéarmacha in Inniúlacht’ agus ag moladh go múinfí ábhar, de bhreis ar an nGaeilge, trí Ghaeilge do gach dalta bunscoile. Molann an Dr. Harris modh seo an pháirt-tumoideachais mar mhodh éifeachtach sna scoileanna Béarla agus dheimhnigh sé go n-éiríonn leis i gcóras atá, tríd is tríd, ag teip daltaí a chumasú sa Ghaeilge. Beidh Tomás Ó Slatara, Uachtarán Líonra Príomhoidí Bunscoile Éireann, Deirbhile Nic Craith, Cumann Múinteoirí Éireann agus ionadaí ó Chomhairle Náisiúnta na dTuismitheoirí ann le caint i ndiaidh an Dr. Harris chun a gcuid tuairimí ar an moladh a chur in iúl.

Sa tráthnóna molfaidh Colmán Ó Raghallaigh, múinteoir agus ball de Choiste Gnó an Chonartha, go bhforbrófaí dhá shiollabas don Ghaeilge ag an dara leibhéal: ‘Teanga na Gaeilge’ agus ‘Litríocht na Gaeilge’. Scrúdaítear cumas an iarratasóra maidir le labhairt, tuiscint, léamh agus le scríobh na teanga bunaithe ar an bhFráma Coiteann Eorpach i scrúduithe "Teanga na Gaeilge" agus cead ag gach mac léinn an scrúdú sin a shuí. “Múintear ‘Litríocht na Gaeilge’ sna Gaelcholástí agus mar ‘ábhar breise’ do mhic léinn a bhfuil spéis ar leith nó cumas ar leith acu sa Ghaeilge faoi mar a mhúintear matamaitic fheidhmeannach do mhic léinn a bhfuil spéis ar leith nó cumas ar leith acu sa mhata. Cloisfimid tuairim ó Thuaisceart na hÉireann ar an moladh seo ón Dr. Eugene McKendry, Scoil Oideachais in Ollscoil na Banríona agus Stiúrthóir Ionad Eolais Thuaisceart Éireann um Theagasc agus Thaighde Teangacha. I ndiaidh sin beidh seans ag Máire Ní Chiarba, Cumann na Meánmhúinteoirí, Éire agus ag John Mac Gabhann, Aontas Múinteoirí Éireann a gcuid tuairimí a nochtadh. Ag an deireadh cloisfimid tuairim na mac léinn ar an ábhar ó Conor Mahon, Leas-Uachtarán ar Aontas na Mac Léinn Iarbhunscoile.

Beidh deis ag gach duine a fhreastalaíonn ar an gComhdháil a gcuid tuairimí a nochtadh ar an lá.

Dúirt Dáithí Mac Cárthaigh, Uachtarán Chonradh na Gaeilge: “Faoi láthair tá muintir na hÉireann ag bunléig na hEorpa ó thaobh chumas na dteangacha. Is í an aidhm atá ag an gConradh go samhlófar ilteangachas leis na hÉireannaigh agus, ar ndóigh, ardchumas sa Ghaeilge mar bhunchloch an ilteangachais sin. Is í aidhm na Comhdhála na páirtithe leasmhara a thabhairt le chéile chun a gcuid saineolais a roinnt lena chéile agus leis an bpobal chun moltaí praiticiúla don ghearrthéarma agus don mheántéarma a bheachtú.”
